    The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, ideal for those looking to work or volunteer as a First Responder.


    Among the first to arrive at a scene, First Responders typically include Police Officers, Firefighters, and those providing medical cover at festivals and events such as Emergency/Community First Responders, Door Supervisors, Close Protection Operatives and Security Guards as well as those working in high risk environments including the military, power stations, agriculture and manufacturing.

    This informative, hands-on 5-day course fulfils the competencies set out in the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level D, providing the knowledge and practical skills needed to deal with a range of prehospital emergency care situations.

    The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) covers: administration of emergency oxygen, management of trauma patients, major illnesses and much more.

    Training Type: Face to Face (practical and theory)

    The Qualsafe Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised Prehospital care qualification specifically designed for those looking to progress their career within the NHS or private ambulance services as an emergency care assistant, intermediate ambulance practitioner, event medical provider, associate practitioner or healthcare assistant.

    It is also ideal for those who are looking to work within specialist roles in the military, police and fire services.
    Fulfilling the competencies set out in the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level E, this qualification provides learners with the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to be able to deal with a wide range of Prehospital care emergencies, such as: major incidents, fracture immobilisation, sick and injured children, mental health issues and more.

    The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in the Safe Administration of Lifesaving Medication (RQF) is intended for those who are employed by a Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered organisation that have a specific responsibility at work to be able to safely administer and monitor the effects of medication within their scope of practice.

    Successful learners will gain the knowledge and confidence needed to safely provide lifesaving medication at emergency or life-threatening incidents. Topics covered include: common types of lifesaving medication, determining a patient’s condition, guidelines and protocols relevant to the administration of lifesaving medication.

    Please Note:
    Learners who wish to undertake the Qualsafe Level 3 Award in the Safe Administration of Lifesaving Medication (RQF) must be employed by a CQC registered organisation and have successfully completed the Qualsafe Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) or a QA recognised equivalent qualification.

    The Qualsafe Level 4 Award in Immediate Life Support (RQF) is ideal for those who have a responsibility at work, or in community or voluntary activities to provide emergency care to patients, such as: event medical providers, emergency ambulance personnel, registered healthcare professionals and those working in specialist roles within the emergency services and military.

    During this 1 day course, learners will develop the necessary skills associated with immediate life support, including: airway management, patient assessment, management of major illness/injury, post-incident procedures, Managing the Return of Spontaneous Circulation (RoSC), patient handovers and more.

  • Course Duration: 1 Day

    The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Administering Emergency Medical Gases (RQF) has been specifically designed for those who have a responsibility for providing treatment to patients who need medical gases administrating in Prehospital care environments, such as: those working in the police force, fire service or private ambulance sector.

    During this half day course, learners will develop the necessary knowledge and skills needed for the safe, prompt and effective administration of emergency oxygen and analgesic agents.


    Topics covered include: pre-operational inspections and how to monitor and record its effects.

    Training Type: Face to Face (practical and theory)

    The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, ideal for those looking to work or volunteer as a first responder.

    All FREC 3 certificates are valid for 3 years, this short 3 day course is designed to refresh the leaner and enable them to continue working at a FREC 3 scope of practice for a further 3 years.
